The program has been going on for a little while and Nissan just added started offering the program in Boston. Then Nissan plays to hit 17 more cities and we can’t wait. So how does the program work? Simply bring your Nissan Leaf to any eVgo Freedom Station and charge it for free for two years. The station includes a Level 2 EV charger and a DC Fast Charger, which gets the charge up to 80 percent in 30 minutes or less. Most Freedom Stations are open 24/7 and many are conveniently located along major freeways. The only catch is the program only works on Nissan Leaf electric vehicles built since 2013.

There are Freedom Stations everywhere and soon there many be one in every state. Unfortunately, there currently is no station in Ohio, but we hope to have one in the state soon. In the meantime, plot your summer road trip route using this list of Freedom Stations so you never have to worry about paying to charge.
