Father’s Day Events Seattle

Dad has always been there for you.  Sunday he gets his due.  That’s right, Father’s Day is this Sunday (June 15th for those going to check their calendars in disbelief at how fast time flies).  Do not let the day sneak up on you.  Make some great plans for the day.  At Seattle Metro Used Cars, we want to help make the brainstorming process easier.  There are a ton of different events going on in the city.  Here are some of the best Father’s Day events Seattle has to offer.

Take him out to the ballgame:

The Seattle Mariners made big splashes in free agency this offseason, and there is a definite buzz back around picturesque Safeco Field.  Go see the M’s take on the division rival Texas Rangers for an afternoon of nostalgia.  Remember back to your first little league game or the first time you went through the turnstiles of a stadium.  Sitting in the stands cheering you on or guiding you through a step behind you was probably your dad.  Cheer on the hometown team and show Dad how much you care.

Fastlane Father’s  love  car shows:

If one of your first memories is seeing your dad hunched over a popped up hood of an old F-150 or Firebird, than you are just like us.  If the feel of motor oil on your hands transports you back to that Sunday afternoon one summer where he let you hold the work lamp or the ratchets while he disappeared beneath the undercarriage still raises the hair on the back of your neck, then you have to check out either the Father’s Day Car Show in Burien from 10 AM to 4 PM Sunday or the Fenders on Front Street show in Issaquah from 8 AM to 3 PM.  Drive over and relish the automotive passion that links the two of you almost as strongly as your DNA on Father’s Day.

Brews for the best man you know:

The Washington Brewers Festival at Marymoor Park in Redmond is being held this weekend starting Friday and running through Sunday.  Toast Dad with some of the best beers around.  The moment your Dad bought you your first beer might be so memorable you can still taste the golden or amber goodness and feel the white foamy head resting on your upper lip.  Treat dad to some tasty barley pops this weekend.

Seattle Metro Used Cars wishes everyone a happy and safe Father’s Day!
