Celebrate the Official Arrival of Summer in Seattle This Weekend

Summer is officially arriving this weekend.  Celebrate in  style by taking advantage of all the fun events happening in the Seattle.  We at Seattle Metro Used Cars have compiled a list of the most outstanding happenings occurring in and around the Emerald City.  Check out a few of these fun festivities and ensure yourself an awesome weekend.

Fremont Fair: Friday June 20 at 5:00 PM to Sunday June 22 at 6:00 PM

Head over to the 43rd annual Fremont Fair.  The unique festival runs all weekend and is an embodiment of the quirky, zany spirit Seattle is renowned for.  With live music, eating and drinking, there is no reason to not spend the whole weekend in the Fremont neighborhood.  Bands include Built to Spill, Campfire OK, and Blue Scholars.  Check out the craft market for unique clothing, jewelry, food, and art.  Over 100,000 will attend over the course of the weekend.  Make sure to be counted in that number.

Jay and Silent Bob Get Old Live!: Saturday June 21 at 7:30 PM

Check out Kevin Smith and Jason Mewes, from the iconic Jay and Silent Bob series, meditate about  getting older and life in general.  Smith, who has written and directed dozens of films along with the aforementioned franchise, such as Chasing Amy, Clerks,Clerks II, Dogma, and Mallrats, and Mewes, who has been a longtime collaborator, discuss the process of becoming decrepit.  Head to the Triple Door at 216 Union Street for the show.  Doors open at 6:00 PM, and tickets are $30.

Summer Drive-In Movie Series: Saturday June 21 at 9:00 PM

For a fun for the entire family, drive over to the LeMay Museum.  The car museum is putting on a summer movie series.  This weekend, the animated feature Cars is being shown.  Make sure to arrive early.  Parking for the event begins at 4:30 PM.  Eat and drink from the provisions provided by the Pacific Grill food tent.
