Popular German Cars

All hail the victors, and to the victors go the spoils.  Germany took down the Lionel Messi-led  Argentina squad in a thrilling World Cup final, 1-0.  With the German’s asserting their dominance in the soccer world, it seems appropriate to take a look at the  most popular German cars.  At Seattle Metro Used Cars, we carry a large number of these auto makes and models.

The automobiles ranked here are by percent of total auto sales from within Germany for the 2013 year.

1.  Volkswagen- 21.8% of the market

The company that brought us iconic vehicles such as the Beetle and Type 2 (aka the Hippie Van) claims the top spot in its homeland.  Along with the Beetle, Volkswagen’s Golf and Passat make up three of the top 10 best-selling automobiles of all-time.  We have many Volkswagen offerings in-stock right now.

2. Mercedes-Benz- 9.4% of the market

One of the most sought-after brands of pure luxury is second on the list.  Mercedes’s consummate elegance and unrivaled performance make it popular abroad and at home.  We routinely have Mercedes-Benz models in our inventory.

3. Audi- 8.5% of the market

As the child of parent company Volkswagen, Audi is both style and substance.  With sleek, timeless designs and peak performance, Audi is third on the list.  Since being re-launched as a brand in 1965, Audi has been a fixture in the automotive industry.  It is no surprise that many customers come to us in search of this brand.

4. BMW- 7.9% of the market

Rounding out the top four makes in Germany is BMW.  The Bavarian Motor Works brand is without  doubt one of the most legendary and opulent offerings Germany produces.  Since 1916, at that point producing airplanes, BMW has always succeeded in exceeding expectations.  We also frequently have BMWs in our inventory, but they are so wildly popular that they do not last long.
