Back in 2017, Volkswagen released a lineup of electric concept vehicles that have created a lot of buzz. These include the I.D. CROZZ, I.D. BUZZ, I.D. VIZZION, I.D. Buggy, I.D. ROOMZZ and the I.D. Not only does the lineup contain slick and futuristic concept cars, but each model is expected to have a range of more than 250 miles from one charge. The I.D. lineup provides an alternative to producing carbon emissions and spending money on gas, and the best part is, buyers don’t have to compromise on comfort, speed or horsepower. The Volkswagen I.D. CROZZ concept had car enthusiasts all abuzz the April when it debuted at the Shanghai International Automobile Industry Exhibition. Between the I.D. Once you’ve worked in the automotive industry long enough, you start to look at concept vehicles with a touch of skepticism. After all, many of them never even get a whisper of production potential. It seems the winds are changing for Volkswagen, as the automaker is putting in the effort to finally make the SUVs we’ve long been awaiting. If one this is clear, Volkswagen has had a fire lit under it. The automaker has already shown its goals to move out of its comfort zone by adding the 2018 Volkswagen Atlas to the lineup, and soon a long-wheelbase Tiguan will follow. These are great additions for the current market, but things can’t continue as they have been. For years it has been said that the current automotive industry, which relies heavily on fossil fuels, is not sustainable. Electric vehicles pose a big change, and enthusiasts are worried to see vehicles on the market that kill enthusiasm. Volkswagen has no intention of letting this happen. VW rethinks automotive design with the Sedric self-driving car concept

When you think of a self-driving car, what does it look like? For some time, concepts have mostly come out looking just like the vehicles you already see. Probably in a white or silver color option, with more focus on LED lights embedded right in the glass, and of course with LIDAR systems attached to the top. This is because we still imagine the need for drivers, but VW is thinking of the Sedric concept as a step beyond, when cars will no longer need to be driven at all.
