Mother’s Day Events in the Phoenix Area
It’s only a few days until Mother’s Day, and all the usual trappings–the candy, the flowers, the cards–have probably already been purchased by our friends in the Phoenix area. But wouldn’t it be okay to try something a little different? At Avondale Nissan, we of course operate with our feet on the gas at all times, so we put together a few recommendations for Mother’s Day events taking place in the Phoenix area. Enjoy!
Brunch abounds in the Phoenix area.
It shouldn’t be any surprise that most–but not all–local brunches are quick to note that mom or grandma often receives a free Mimosa, since the OJ-and-Champagne cocktail has become almost inseparable from Mother’s Day Brunch. Many offer their own variations on the classics, with some favorites including Tonto at Rancho Mañana, Ocean Prime in North Phoenix, and District American Kitchen and Wine Bar. Regardless of where you choose to eat, it’s recommended that reservations are made.
Fancy a Mother’s Day Afternoon Tea?
Many locations offer select mother/daughter tea lunches, and many feature live music or available cocktails upon request. The Mother’s Day Tea at the Hackett House in Tempe features a variety of scones and treats, while the Mother/Daughter Afternoon Tea at the Ritz-Carlton Phoenix features live music and tea-infused sandwiches. An added bonus at the Ritz-Carlton: you can also take advantage of the available golf and restaurant as well.

There are no shortage of great ways to enjoy some family time on Mother’s Day in the Phoenix area. Moms golf free if she’s accompanied by a paying golfer at The Boulders Golf Club in Carefree, and many area golf courses have Mother’s Day specials. Or, if you’re feeling a little more like rock ‘n’ roll, The Shout House dueling piano bar in Glendale is featuring an all-ages, no cover show from 5pm to 9pm on Sunday. The show will be a family-friendly affair, and mom receives a complimentary mimosa when she arrives.
