Nissan is no stranger to the crossover game. The Murano is one of several crossovers produced by the automaker. It delivers well on fuel economy and performance and also has outstanding safety ratings. Those are typically three of the top pluses we look for in vehicles, but what about style? More specifically, what special features are included on the Murano’s exterior? Let’s explore that.

2018 Nissan Murano exterior

The 2018 model is mostly unchanged from 2017’s version, but there are still some notable design features to discuss. The elongated body gives the Murano a unique look among crossovers and it also helps to maximize passenger space as well as cargo volume. The body, which is defined by its contours and long, gradual curves, has been optimized for aerodynamics. The design begins with Nissan’s signature V-Motion grille and ends with the model’s recognizable jet-tail-like rear. Move closer to the ground and you’ll see the beautiful 20″ aluminum-alloy wheels that are fitted with available stunning hubcaps.

LED daytime running lights

Nissan’s signature style is everywhere on the new Murano. The striking chrome grille is great, but the LED daytime lights are great and practical. Their shape was designed with aerodynamics in minds and they have become a critical piece of the model’s style. High-efficiency LED headlights are available which are meant to replicate natural lighting. Headlights don’t seem like a big deal until you have the best ones around.

Panoramic moonroof

While not a standard feature, the Murano’s available moonroof adds even more style and a little bit of luxury. The moonroof’s length extends to cover both rows of seats inside so all passengers can enjoy the view of the sky and the feel of the summer breeze.

“Floating roof”

The Murano is given a lower profile by its “floating roof” appearance. This contrasts the usual bulk we see in many SUVs. It also helps to give the Murano a more open feel inside. We think it’s best if you just come check it out for yourself.
