It’s almost that time, folks! We can all put on our Uncle Sam wigs, fill our trunks and truck beds with fireworks, and grill red meat until sun-up. America! At Avondale Nissan near Phoenix, AZ, this is among our favorite holidays, and one that we look forward to all year long. But with only a few short weeks until the holiday arrive, what are we to do? Here are a few options for Fourth of July events in the Phoenix area, courtesy of your friends at Avondale Nissan!

Light Up The Sky — Maryvale Baseball Park, West Phoenix — July 3rd

We kick off the events a day early with Light Up The Sky on Thursday night, located at the Maryvale Baseball Park. This family event opens at 6:30pm, and features various inflatable rides and live entertainment. The fireworks begin around 9pm, and it’s important to note that no alcohol will be sold inside the baseball stadium, although coolers are allowed in the parking lot. Get there early to preserve your spot! This event is free to the public, although concessions will be sold.

Fabulous Phoenix Fourth — Steele Indian School Park, Phoenix — July 4th

This event will run from 6pm to 10pm on July 4th, and admission is free. This event features a variety of smaller attractions, including a Patriotic program, live music, inflatable rides, a classic car exhibit, and a “Splash Zone” so that everyone can cool off if needed. The fireworks will begin around 9:30pm, and those who attend are encouraged to bring their own blankets or lawn chairs to sit on. This event is entirely alcohol-free.

Red, White and Rawhide — Chandler — July 4th & 5th

This exciting event is held in the southern portion of the Phoenix metro area, and is a thrilling mix of live music, old west nostalgia and all-out partying. There will be seven live bands in all between the two days, as well as attractions such as stagecoach rides and gold-panning. Tickets can be purchased for individuals or families in advance, or at a cost of $20 per day at the door. There will also be a Beer, Wine and Margarita Festival running concurrently, at a cost of $50 per day. Learn all the details here.

Wet n’ Wild 4th of July — Wet n’ Wild, Phoenix — July 4th

This event is held at the popular Phoenix water park, and the regular price of admission applies, with additional tickets available to take part in all festivities. Full admission includes an All-You-Can-Eat BBQ from 6:30-8pm, followed by a “Dive-In” movie. Then, at 9:30pm, the fireworks will begin. This event is especially attractive to U.S. military and first-responder members, who receive free admission, in addition to half-price admission for up to six family members.
