The Kia Rio is a hot seller across the globe, thanks to its nice fuel economy, compact style that comes in handy in cities with narrow streets, and overall value.
So we have some good news! A new, fourth generation of the Kia Rio is coming for the 2018 model year, and the model made its premiere at the New York International Auto Show in April. Changes to the 2018 Kia Rio
- New S trim level.
- Larger touchscreen, up to 7 inches, from 4.3 inches in the 2017 model.
- Expanded interior for a roomier feel, to 89.9 cubic feet for passengers (had 88.4 in 2017)
- Anticipated changes also include better MPG in 2018 and an IIHS Top Safety Pick.
Release Date: 2018 Kia Rio
We don’t have a 100% release date as of yet, but based on how long the 2017 Rio has been on the lot (it arrived in the fall of 2016), and since the 2018 model has begun to make the rounds at the auto show circuit, the 2018 Rio should be available sometime in the second half of 2017, perhaps in the fall or even earlier.
