What the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) recognition means is the 2017 Cadenza has undergone thorough crash testing, and it is among the most crash-resistant vehicles in the large sedan class.  Some other features that add to your comfort and safety with the Cadenza:

  • Autonomous Emergency Braking: Standard in Technology and Limited trims.  The Cadenza pumps the brakes in an emergency if you are not able to.
  • Advanced Smart Cruise Control: Standard in Technology and Limited trims.  You will slow down automatically when on cruise when the Cadenza detects a vehicle in front of you is too close.
  • Smart Blind Spot Detection System: Standard in Technology and Limited trims.
  • Rear Cross Traffic Alert: Available in Premium trim, Standard in Technology and Limited trims.  You get a warning and a light signal if you are backing out and cars are too close behind you.
  • Lane Departure Warning System: Standard in Technology and Limited trims.  If you veer or about to veer into the next lane over, you will be notified so you can correct your course.
  • Surround-View Monitor: Standard in Limited trim.  So you can see all around your car.

Other value adds to the Cadenza for 2017 include UVO eServices, available voice-command navigation, the ability to sync with your smartphone with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, an available 8-inch touchscreen, plus heated and ventilated front seats!  Now this is a nice ride, and a safe one, with more room than many of its competitors in the large sedan class with 107.8 cubic feet for passengers.
