Before summer arrives, there is one annual holiday that everyone enjoys, probably because it’s the first extended holiday weekend of the warm months. Memorial Day weekend is our time to celebrate all our country’s fallen military veterans who paid the ultimate price for the freedoms of our great country. Things to do Memorial Day Weekend in Racine, WI 

Cemetery with fog Racine Memorial Day Parade – This year, the annual Racine Memorial Day parade will be held on May 28, 2018, and will be hosted by the City of Racine and the Racine Area Veterans. The parade will begin promptly at 10:00 a.m. at 141 Oregon Street and travel down West Blvd. and Washington Avenue to Graceland Cemetery, where it will end at 12:00 p.m. The keynote speaker at this year’s Memorial Day celebration in Racine, WI will be Sister Linda “Sarge” McClenahan. Linda McClenahan is a Vietnam veteran, a Dominican Sister and a counselor with the HOPE’s Center. This year’s parade will feature music by the Belle City Brassworks. The annual Racine Memorial Day Parade is a free event for the whole community to enjoy.

West Racine Farmers Market – This farmers market features fresh locally grown produce, flowers, plants, baked goods and honey. It will take place on Saturday, May 26, 2018, from 8:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. at 3113 Washington Avenue in the West Racine Shopping District.
