St Patrick’s Day is a day we set aside to celebrate the Irish. On March 16th, Racine will be celebrating the holiday with a bunch of fun events for everyone.

Downtown Racine St. Patrick’s Day Parade

Starting at noon, the parade route will run south along main street and west along sixth street. There will be music, bagpipers, dancers and leprechauns until 5pm. You don’t have to worry about bringing your pot of gold along, the event is free!

Burlington Home and Garden show

Start your day a little early in Burlington and bring your green thumb. Presented by the Burlington Area Chamber of Commerce, the Annual home and garden show will take place at Burlington High School. There will be a Chocolate Extravaganza bake-off with prizes for best cookies, cakes and candy. Admission into the show is $2 and the event lasts from 9am to 3pm.

St. Pat’s Day 5k

The 5k is in partnership with the Downtown Racine Development Corporation and is hosted by the Downtown Racine Parade. The run will start at Pepi’s Pub & Grill and follow the parade route back. For participating in the race, you’ll receive a sub from Jimmy Johns, t-shirt, goodie bag, and more!

For the runners over 21, there’s some special drink specials for you.

Happy hour all day at Pepi’s for racers with their bibs on. Then there is a complimentary beer at Pub on Wisconsin and at Brickhouse. At Racine Brewing Company, you can enjoy $1 off a craft beer.
