From the get go, Kia Motors has been a leader in innovation, originally founded as a manufacturer of bicycle parts. Throughout the company’s history, Kia engineers have pushed the limits of the automotive industry and have taken their creativity to new heights with Kia concept vehicles. In addition to the various new models produced that are available at Kia dealerships, such as Frank Boucher Kia in Racine, WI, these concept models make appearances at auto shows and various Kia exhibitions.

What’s exciting about Kia’s concept cars is being able to see a vehicle built from pure imagination. Whether it’s the roadster style of the A1A or the photography-oriented Safari Sedona, the possibilities are endless. Below you can see some Kia’s latest concept models and their one of kind features.

Kia Telluride

Unveiled at this year’s Detroit Auto Show, the Telluride concept SUV is a luxury concept vehicle with a focus on occupant comfort and well-being. The seven-passenger utility vehicle is longer and wider than Kia’s redesigned 2016 Sorento and equipped with four captain’s chairs in addition to the third row bench seat. The Telluride also features a second row Swipe Command feature for rear passengers to easily control media.

What makes this model really stand out is its health benefits. In each seat there are diamond-cut openings with Smart Sensors that monitor passengers’ vitals and displays them on a screen in the door panel. Using this information the Telluride employs a Light Emitted Rejuvenation System with LED’s that display therapeutic light patterns to treat desynchronosis (jetlag) and improve passengers’ overall energy levels.

Perfect for long drives up and down the cost, the A1A has roadster style that is packed with creative features. The back doors of the A1A swing on rear-mounted hinges and the top has been sliced to feature a shortened windshield. This special Optima has also been given a 245hp engine and sport suspension for a low riding, high performance drive.

Photo Safari Sedona

Kia’s Photo Safari Sedona is where the concept cars start to get a little crazy. Built for off-road photo shoots with the space of a minivan, the Safari concept has a tubular steel roof rack to mount high definition cameras, equipment and even the photographer. The interior has also been transformed from the traditional grocery-getter to a mobile editing studio backed by military grade batteries and placed on a built-in walnut desk. And that’s not even the half of it! Bumper-to-bumper, the Safari Sedona is packed with advanced technologies for off-road performance and convenience.
