If you want know how well, or not so well, your vehicle does for gas mileage, calculating your fuel economy is easy with these five simple steps.
- Fill your gas tank.
- Reset your trip meter to zero.
- Use at least half of your gas tank, then refill.
- Note the number of gallons it took to refill the second time as well as the number on your trip meter.
- Divide the miles on your trip meter by the gallons of gas you put in.
